1 John 5:15

“I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.”

Do you know what one of the most tragic statements ever is? It’s this: “I hope I go to heaven.” I pray you and I never say that!

Why so? Because God says something far better! God says that he’s written the Bible so that we who believe in Jesus can KNOW – yes, “KNOW!!!” – that we have eternal life.

Can you imagine? You get to say, “I KNOW I’m going to heaven … because God won heaven for me.” You get to say, “I KNOW I’m going to heaven … because God told me I am!”

And that statement – “I know I’m going to heaven” – that’s triumphant!

Thankful to know that I’m going to heaven, just like you,
