When will the evil end?

1 Peter 5:10

“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast.”

Suffering is a part of life and always has been. Some of us might deal with pain, unfairness financial hardship discord, or sickness, but no matter who we are, we all deal with death. And we as Christians will also suffer for the name of Jesus. Not only will people mistreat us for being believers, but the devil does all he can to get us to sin and to lose our faith in God.

But there is relief, brothers and sisters. Our suffering is a temporary thing. God himself will completely restore and heal us from the poison of sin in heaven, the place where you and I will never shed a tear of sorrow ever again. What keeps us going in this life until then, is knowing that Jesus has come, and he undid the devil’s work. The devil had made us guilty, but Jesus came and declared us innocent. By his salvific life and death, Jesus has given us eternal glory. Restoration is coming! Be patient and stand firm.
