What’s your perspective?

Job 38:4-7

“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?

        Tell me, if you understand.

5 Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!

Who stretched a measuring line across it?

6 On what were its footings set,

        or who laid its cornerstone—

7 while the morning stars sang together

and all the angels shouted for joy?”

Beth and I bought a piece of furniture that needed to be assembled. The directions said it would take 30 minutes. It took us well over 2 hours! And, we didn’t need to design anything; we merely needed to follow the directions.

God had both the wisdom and the ability to both design and build the earth. He could determine what its dimensions should be. He determined how to place it into the solar system so that it could/would stay in its proper place. What kind of wisdom and power would it take to do that?!? Oh my! It’s breathtaking!

But even more breathtaking is this: that God of power and wisdom loves you dearly, and now promises to guide all things for the good of His people. You’re one of those people! And that’s breathtaking!

Thankful for God’s breathtaking power, wisdom, and love, just like you,
