1 Peter 1:22

“Standing before God as a pure one…”

Do we feel like we need our “batteries to be recharged?” I’d guess every one of us has felt that way at some time, and maybe it happens often.

The passage above is a jolt of energy for our souls! What does God say about you and me? He says that we believers have a status of purity in his eyes! Can you imagine? God looks at you and declares, “In my eyes, you are pure!”

“But, but, but…” we sputter, “I’m nowhere near being pure, ever!” True! But, God declares you to be pure anyway, because of what Jesus did for you. And if God says it, that settles it!

Ah. There’s a nice recharge of the batteries!

Thankful for my status before God, just like you,
