Set Free to Serve || Oct. 20, 2024

Martin Luther famously said this about believers: “A Christian is the freest lord of all and subject to no one; a Christian is the most dutiful servant of all and subject to everyone.” This paradox couldn’t be truer. While Jesus set us free from “the law of sin and death,” we are now God’s slaves and slaves to each other. We are motivated by the selfless service of Christ who became like a servant to set us free. So now, we serve others in love, so that they too may be pointed to Christ and believe.
