John 6:68b

“Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”

Perspective is such a valuable thing, isn’t it? One of the things I like about flying in an airplane is the different perspective it gives me about the world below me. Yes, people are running around, busy-busy-busy, but from way up in the air, it all looks … so small! So insignificant!

And in reality, all of this life is really small, really insignificant in comparison to life which is eternal. At the end of the day, eternal life is what I really, really need.

So how have our lives looked this week? Have our lives been focused clearly on eternal matters? Or have we been distracted by the things of this life, so that we’ve lost focus – at least partially – on life eternal?

Good news! Jesus won eternal life for you! “In my father’s house are many rooms; I’m going there to prepare a place for you.” Know it! Cherish it!

And focus on it.

Struggling to keep my focus on eternal matters, just like you,
