From Mountain to Manger || Advent 2025

We’ve entered a new church year, celebrating the Advent Season. (“Advent” is from a Latin word which means “coming.”) During Advent, we put ourselves into the shoes of the Old Testament believers, trying to imagine what it would be like awaiting the Savior. (That’s why during Advent all our readings come from the Old Testament, one from each of the three sections of the OT, just like they did in the synagogue.) This year, we’ll consider several of the mountains which played a part in God’s saving work, going from mountain to manger.
