Food that’ll last forever?

John 6:37b

…and whoever comes to me I will never drive away,…

I struggle in my life of faith. You too? I struggle to keep focused on Jesus, struggle to keep an eternal focus, struggle to be patient and kind, etc. You too? Or, maybe your faith struggles are different than mine, but they’re struggles nonetheless. Why would Jesus want us, who struggle so much, to be part of his eternal family? It would make more sense to me that Jesus would drive us away, in disgust!

But he says the opposite, and says it emphatically! The Greek construction has this idea: “Whoever comes to me, there’s no way I will ever drive that person away. No way.” Wow! I need that encouragement! You too?

What a wonderful Savior who assures us so richly!
