Does God Care?

John 2:9-10

“[T]he master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside 10 and said, ‘Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.’”

Does God care? The devil would like for us to ask that question out of doubt or anger or frustration because the devil wants us to think that God DOESN’T care.

If we ever wonder if God really cares, the first place to look is the cross. Jesus was willing to die for you and for me! Can there be any question that he cares for us? None whatsoever! He cared for us so much that he provided for our eternal well-being!

And how does he care for us while on this earth? Our text above reminds us that he cares for us with excellence! Jesus could have turned the water into (insert the name of the cheapest wine you know of); instead, he turned it into the best they’d had. And God will care for us with excellence, too.
